Cridà Fallas Valencia 2020
The huge Valencian festival will begin from the Serrano Towers with an incredible show of gunpowder and fireworks.
La Crida is the opening ceremony of Las Fallas, where an impressive spectacle of fireworks is displayed, it marks the beginning of a month of celebration and joy in the land of Turia. Although it is usually held on the last Sunday of February, this year it is celebrated on Sunday, March 1st, coinciding with the start of the mascleta’s program. Thus, throughout the day there will be different activities happening in the city.
The last event of the day will be the Crida 2020 held in the Serranos Towers, where the Fallera Mayor of Valencia 2020 will invite Valencians and tourists to the Fallas 2020. The start of the event will be at 20:00 with an audiovisual show with videomapping techniques and audiovisual effects in 3D and 2D. It is a four-scene show with audiovisual integrations over the Torres de Serranos under the title 'Pólvora i Foc'.
The schedule of the Crida de Fallas 2020, is as follows:
06:45 h. – Prayer of FFMMV and CCHH to Santa Barbara in the Church of San Juan del Hospital.
07:20 h. – "Wake up" children.
07:30 h. – "Macroadespert". It will end in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento with a spectacular earthquake. A fallero breakfast will then be offered to all participants.
12:00 h. – Music Band entry.
14:00 h. - "Mascleta" in the town hall.
20:00 h. – "Crida" in the Serranos Towers. A pyrotechnic spectacle at the end.
On Saturday, February 29th, the day before Crida 2020, a unique event is held in La Marina de Valencia where the most sustainable Mascleta Vertical in history will be launched.
On the day of the Crida de las Fallas there will be a lot of traffic and some changes made to the bus lines of EMT Valencia. See here the diversions of the affected lines: 5, 6, 11, 16, 26, 28, 80, 94 and 95.
